Mission auf Augenh\u00f6he<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mission auf Augenh\u00f6he ist der Titel unserer neuen VM-Fokus-Ausgabe, denn die globale Mission und die damit verbundenen Rollen ver\u00e4ndern sich.
\n<\/strong>Das Christentum w\u00e4chst besonders dynamisch im Globalen S\u00fcden: Afrika und Lateinamerika pr\u00e4gen die weltweite Christenheit zunehmend und bringen neue missionarische Impulse hervor. Aus einstigen Missionsfeldern werden heute selbst aussendende Zentren – und missionarische Teams werden immer internationaler und vielf\u00e4ltiger.<\/p>\n

Dieser Wandel pr\u00e4gt auch unser Verst\u00e4ndnis von Mission. <\/strong>Demut, gemeinsames Lernen und echtes Zuh\u00f6ren sind Schl\u00fcsselhaltungen einer Mission, die nicht nur in eine Richtung denkt, sondern weltweit miteinander unterwegs <\/strong>ist.<\/p>\n

Au\u00dferdem verabschieden wir in dieser Ausgabe liebe Mitarbeiter, berichten aber gleichzeitig, wie unsere weltweite VM-Family w\u00e4chst und Mitarbeiter herausragende Jubil\u00e4en feiern d\u00fcrfen. All das erf\u00fcllt uns mit gro\u00dfer Dankbarkeit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Move Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n

Europa neu entdecken – als Missionsfeld direkt vor unserer Haust\u00fcr: Die aktuelle Ausgabe von VM Fokus “Move Europe” beleuchtet die geistliche Situation unseres Kontinents zwischen S\u00e4kularisierung, Migration und neuer Hoffnung. W\u00e4hrend der christliche Glaube in vielen L\u00e4ndern Europas kaum noch sichtbar ist, w\u00e4chst zugleich die Sehnsucht nach lebendigem Glauben und echter Gemeinschaft. Es ist spannend zu sehen, warum interkulturelle Gemeinden zu Hoffnungstr\u00e4gern werden k\u00f6nnen, wie Gott Migration als Katalysator nutzen kann und weshalb Europa heute mehr denn je Mission braucht.<\/p>\n

Mitarbeiter berichten aus ihrem Alltag zwischen Gemeindegr\u00fcndung, Training und Reisen quer durch Europa – einem Kontinent voller Vielfalt und geistlichen Herausforderungen.<\/strong> Gleichzeitig macht diese Ausgabe Mut, Gottes Wirken neu zu erwarten: K\u00f6nnte die sogenannte “stille Erweckung” unter jungen Menschen bereits ein Zeichen f\u00fcr ein neues Kapitel sein, das Gott in Europa schreibt?<\/p>\n

VM FOKUS 1\/2026<\/span><\/h2>\n

Future for Children<\/strong><\/p>\n

We dedicate this new issue of VM Fokus to the future of children. Jesus makes it unmistakably clear how much children are valued in God\u2019s eyes.<\/strong>, by choosing Himself, as God\u2019s Son, the path of humble beginnings and coming into the world as a baby.<\/p>\n

The stories of Samaroo and Santosh<\/strong> From India, they show us what a great gift a sponsorship is and how it can sustainably change the lives of individual children and their families.<\/p>\n

Beyond the sponsorship projects<\/strong>, many of our intercultural staff (IKM) around the world are involved in children\u2019s lives in various ways. From \u201cGrowing with a Friend\u201d in Portugal to hunger relief in the Philippines, tent evangelism in South Africa, children\u2019s homes in North and South America, and educational and development projects in Uganda and elsewhere, it\u2019s all included.<\/p>\n

We also report on the leadership change at the \u201cColombian-German Foundation Aktion Barmherzigkeit\u201d in Colombia.
\nA look back at our VM Retreat 2025, along with some brief news from around the world, is also included.<\/p>\n

VM FOKUS 3\/2025<\/span><\/h2>\n

Sent for Today \u2013 Between Mission and Adaptation<\/strong><\/p>\n

This new issue of VM Fokus also focuses on the winds of change. In its lead article\u2026 Bj\u00f6rn L\u00fctke raises the question in his article of whether the wind of change leads us to build walls or windmills.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his foreword, Mission Director Reinhard Leistner describes how both the BFP and VM-International have changed. He gives a glimpse of how VMI builds windmills.
\nOur intercultural staff (IKM) report on how they experience the winds of change in their ministries and how they respond to them. One thing is clear: the mission is still as relevant as ever!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We also bid farewell to Marie Berger, who has returned to Germany after 18 years in her field of service. At the same time, we are pleased to\u2026* two new staff members<\/strong> welcome to the global VM family.<\/p>\n

Two other highlights of this issue are the Interview with Magnus H\u00f6nke<\/strong> from the mission team of Credo Church and the Report on VMF and VMI<\/strong> on the back page.<\/p>\n
