VM-International is the mission arm of the BFP and adheres to its statement of faith. The BFP is a church movement consisting of independent local congregations. As a Pentecostal, Bible-believing free church, the BFP is in fellowship in faith and ministry with the global Pentecostal movement. As a ministry of the BFP, we are closely connected with local churches and support them in fulfilling God’s mission.
We are members of interdenominational umbrella organizations
As VM, we belong to the following umbrella organizations:
- AEM (Association of Evangelical Missions)
- APCM (Association of Pentecostal and Charismatic Missions)
The tasks in mission are diverse and cannot be accomplished by a single organization alone. Therefore, through working together, we experience mutual support, complementarity, and fellowship, enabling us to fulfill the mission more effectively together.
We are partners for church movements and organizations in the countries where we serve
Whenever possible, we work in partnership in the country of service with church movements and organizations connected to the BFP. This platform provides our workers with accountability, support, and integration.
We are partners of the sending church
When the spiritual strength of a local church is combined with the experience of a mission organization, new dimensions for world mission are opened. That is why VM seeks to partner with churches. Workers who have proven themselves in a local church are among the most resilient and effective missionaries.
Rarely, if ever, does a single local church have all gifts and ministries available in unlimited measure; it depends on being complemented by other churches. Within VM, these gifts and ministries are brought together, enabling a wider range of needs on the mission field to be covered. For the financial support of an ICW (Intercultural Worker), VM provides a broader framework by partnering with many churches and mission supporters, thereby relieving and supporting the local church.
